The Sound of Music.

Sound transcends all other forms of communication in my opinion. I'm on that road of discovering what it entails but the unique package of music is probably the most influential of all sounds. What would our lives be without it? Pretty dull I think.

I started writing songs before I even knew what is was back when I was about 5 years old. I remember how I built my own "oil can" guitar (with some help from a friend) and used fishing line as strings and just a plain plank for the fretboard :). It was great fun to make up my own songs and just be silly. I still carry that childlike attitude in life except now it's become more serious. Melodymakr was born out of my love to create melodies and write songs whether it is instrumental or vocal songs. My passion is really for people to be able to connect to my music emotionally with or without words in order to connect with themselves again.

We live in a world where we're constantly being pushed to do more, create on the go, be as productive as possible. Everything is about achieving and less and less about being.

When do we find time to just be? To connect with our hearts and give our mind some time to make sense of things again? I believe that music is a great conduit for doing just just because it bypasses a lot of processing. It instantly transports us into another worlds giving our minds that space we need to connect with ourselves again.
